This is a reminder that comments for the Wetland Resilience Regs 1.0 are due to MassDEP in 4 weeks. The proposed regulatory revisions can be found on MassDEP’s website:
- Wetlands Protection Act (310 CMR 10.00)
- 401 Water Quality Certification (310 CMR 9.00)
- Massachusetts Waterways (310 CMR 9.00)
Proposed regulation changes are intended to prepare for climate impacts, and include updates to the Stormwater Handbook, performance standards for Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage, and much more.
MACC is in the process of preparing a comment letter to MassDEP. We will share our comments with you over the next two weeks. Please consider sending in comments from your conservation commission, your organization, or individually from you. The more voices from groups implementing the Wetlands Protection Act, the better.
In the meantime, we have been collecting draft comments from the public on a table on our website. Please review the comments and see if they resonate with you and your commission.
