Deadline June 18
MDAR is now accepting applications from agricultural operations interested in participating in the Climate Smart Agriculture Program (CSAP). Proposals are due at 4 pm on Wednesday, June 18th. This grant supports farmers in adapting to changing climate conditions through practices that:
- Improve soil health
- Ensure the efficient use and availability of water
- Prevent impacts on water quality
- Reduce energy use and reliance on fossil fuels
- Strengthen on-farm food safety
- Encourage composting and nutrient recycling
- Promote innovative technologies that improve overall resource efficiency
New This Year: CSAP now brings together MDAR’s formerly separate grant programs into a single, streamlined application process. These include:
- Agricultural Food Safety Improvement Program (AFSIP)
- Agricultural Environmental Enhancement Program (AEEP)
- Agricultural Climate Resiliency & Efficiencies Program (ACRE)
- Agricultural Energy Program (AEP)
- Agricultural Composting Improvement Program (ACIP)
