MassDEP Nonpoint Source (NPS) Management Forum
You’re invited to the 2nd annual virtual Nonpoint Source (NPS) Management Forum Wednesday, September 20, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
The virtual forum will provide an overview of the Watershed Planning Program, which includes the NPS Management Section that develops and implements the Massachusetts NPS Management Program Plan.
Following the initial overview with information on the three grants that the Watershed Planning Program administers (604(b), 319, and Water Quality Monitoring grants), Andy Hrycyna, the Watershed Scientist for the Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA), will regale us with tales from the trenches — stormwater trenches, to be exact. MyRWA has been installing stormwater trenches throughout the Mystic River watershed with great success.
To wrap up, we will discuss new tools and information available to help NPS practitioner develop successful grant proposals and manage NPS pollution.
